look left to right
is the graph on the left?  right?  middle?
2.  Range
look up and down
is the graph on the bottom?  top?  middle?
3.  Zeros
does the graph cross the x axis?  where?  always x =
4.  x-intercept
where the graph crosses the x-axis
5.  y-intercept
where the graph crosses the y-axis
6.  Interval of increase and decrease
follow the graph with your finger.  when does it go up?  down?
always use x-values
7.  Maximum - highest point on graph
Minimum - lowest point on graph
8.  End behavior
look at arrows
if the arrow points up, infinity
if the arrow points down, negative infinity
9.  Vertical line of symmetry
can you fold the graph in half?  if so, what is x?
